The UN has identified five challenges for the crisis-torn region of Diffa in south-eastern Niger: undernutrition, food insecurity, epidemics, floods, and displacement. In this cross-sectoral joint project, Welthungerhilfe is working with several communities to build up their resilience to crises. Seeds, equipment, and other goods are being distributed, with the most vulnerable households receiving two goats each. Training sessions and field demonstrations show people how to make the best use of their new supplies, and women also learn how to prevent malnutrition and undernutrition.
